So, any kind of significant, potentially life-altering decision that a person must make — often choosing between good and bad — can force a “Come to Jesus Moment”.
     
A related term: A Come to Jesus Meeting is an idiom referring to a discussion of a Situation or Circumstance in which a person is confronted with a significant decision which he/she must make — sooner rather than later.

Leaving the modern idiom for a bit: Jesus Himself extended the invitation “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” The teachings of Jesus Christ are the Roots of the U.S. Constitution — as explained in the Jefferson Bible.
